I learned how to be independent. It has always been just me and my mom when my father left us since I was a one year old baby, growing up I learned how to be strong for the both of us. I also learned to appreciate all the things around me because as they say, we never know until when it would stay.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?

It was when my mom got into a car accident. It was a very traumatic experience for the whole family because we thought that she won't be able to survive that tragedy. Gladly, all thanks to God, she made it.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY?

We must plant more trees. Let us always be mindful of how we use wood products and paper items.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?

Since I grew up in a middle-class family, I think the most important lesson that I have learned during my childhood years was to be contented and thankful with what I have. I also won't forget what my mother has always been telling me every now and then, "Hindi bale ng tayo ang masaktan, wag lang tayo ang makasakit." I live up to it until now.

It was the moment I knew that I did not make it to the Honors List in college. It was very hard for me to accept because I really wanted it badly. I have always dreamt of having my parents come up on stage with me during my graduation day, but unluckily, it didn't happen. It only made me realize that in life, I can't have everything that I want even how much I want it, I just have to believe that better things are coming my way.

"One Man, One Tree". A man who plants tree does not just build a forest, but a planet.

Mestisa beauty from Mindoro, Mary Sheila Rosales is a student and currently enjoys her pageant career as one of the beautiful candidates of Miss Philippines Earth 2011. White Complexion complemented with her artificial red mane, not so stunner. She is one of those who didn’t stand out and catch any attentions.

Mary Sheila Rosales meet my expectations when her smile flashes the camera. I know from the very beginning that even though this girl wouldn’t win, she will have a lot of friends and great experience in the entire pageant.

I've learned that even though I am just a little kid and was facing domestic problems, I need to be strong for the life ahead of me not just for myself but also for those who I loved so dearly, my family.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?

It was when my family and I went to Pangasinan for an excursion, I was 8 years old then. I will never ever forget that moment in my life because that was the first and last vacation we had as a family. I felt so happy.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY?

We can help Mother Earth by conserving water. Minimize the use of water by turning off the faucet while brushing our teeth or use a pail instead of shower when taking a bath.

Mardie Rose Enriquez from Calamba City is one of our official candidates in Miss Philippines Earth 2011. Special about her is that Mardie is simple. She stands 5 feet and 6 inches about the ground yet, she let her feet on the ground while having the best foot forward.

She catches my attention, when she ramped seemingly on the way down with their fabulous swimsuit. I got good shots on her. About her standing on the pageant, well she is good but there are a lot more candidates who are better than her. I love her personality towards other candidates. Maybe, other pageants will suit for her.

There are a couple of lessons I learned from childhood: To always be quick to change; If you're not good at something, work at it; Don't easily get depressed; You are a victor not a victim.

The most memorable moment for me was when I joined a singing contest in our school during my elementary days. There was only one word for it- embarrassing. But then, that was when I realized that if you want to win something you don't just join, you prepare.

My advocacy is "sowing and reaping". It's about educating the Filipino community to be aware of the environmental issues.

Another strong contender; this beauty from Cagayan de Oro packages an awesome and alluring aura. She is not; I mean definitely not a stunner.  But Catherine Almirante do has potentials in pageants. She is not that beautiful, actually I am quite annoyed with her nose. But, her presence on stage, the baring of dress, poses, delivering of self into crowd and camera. Wow, she is a beauty queen. Could this strengths brag her the crown of this year’s Miss Philippines-earth 2011?

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?

It was September 2009 when typhoon Ondoy struck the country. I consider this catastrophe as the most memorable moment in my life because of the great effects that it marked in me. The floods that ravaged our household and endangered our lives greatly, and the morbid images I have seen during the onslaught of the typhoon, are still vivid in my memory. This tragedy however, opened my eyes to our social responsibility to Mother Nature.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY?

I am advocating sustainable fashion or eco-fashion. It is a trend of using environment friendly materials to produce clothing or accessories, to reduce harm to our environment.

She is a strong contender. Christianne Ramos is a beautiful candidate of Miss Philippines Earth 2011 pageant. Fierce looks, awesome mane, and a complete package to be a winner; I am sure that this lady will own any of the titles. Maybe it is water or air, but I am not quite convinced that she will conquer the biggest title. There is a candidate that I do believe suited for Miss Philippines-earth 2011 title. Find out whom.

I learned that in order to succeed, one must learn from previous failures. My childhood experiences taught me that pain caused by failures can make one a stronger and better individual.

The most memorable moments for me were the competitions I won. Those were remarkable not because of fame or victory, it was because of the smiles from the people who supported me all the way. It has always been my heart's content to inspire people especially the young ones.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY?

Reforestation. Our forests play a serious role in mitigating the consequences of climate change. As an advocate of the environment, I would like to further spread environmental education by coordinating with government agencies and the media.

Alyssa Mae Canizares won Mutya ng Bayugan 2009 and competed Bai Naliyagan 2009 (Miss Naliyagan 2009) where she won. Bai Naliyagan is a pageant in Agusan del Sur for the Naliyagan Festival held every June. This is the edge of this candidate from being one of the official candidate of this year’s 2011 Miss Philippines Earth pageant.

The worsening and unprecedented effects of global warming drove me to become an advocate of clean air. From being just a health concern, air pollution has quickly become a major environmental issue because of its consequences on climate. Still, I believe that no problem can be too gigantic if every person in the planet works to resolve it. The simplest step to cleaner air is by reducing carbon emissions. Join carpools or switch to hybrid cars. Avoid the use of products with CFC or chlorofluorocarbon. For short-distance travels, instead of using motorcycles and other vehicles that emit carbon, just walk or use a bicycle. It is an effective way of helping the environment, while staying fit and healthy. Burn Calories, NOT Fuel.

Trees filter the air we breathe. They are also the primary source of our basic needs- food, shelter, and clothing. I encourage every individual to plant a tree. Or at the very least, protect trees by reducing the consumption of products that emanate from it, like paper. Recycle papers, and engage in paperless transactions. Switch to online news and magazines.

A goddess landed on earth. White complexion, charming looks and typical beauty from Baliwag Bulacan, Vivienne Andrea Gulia is one of the official candidates of this year’s Miss Philippines Earth Candidates. Gulia is one in the group who made the pageant beautiful and pure.

Vivienne Andrea Gulia is like a model and ambassador of beauty and purity. She has a face that could calm a hundred wild lions on prairie. A pleasing personality imbued with charming smile

From then on, I decided to become a better person and push myself harder to become a beauty queen.

Dindi Joy Pajares, a young contender with great posture, body and height. Many speculations were rising about her. Even me were impressed by her good height, in her young age 17. I could barely imagine a beauty queen glamorously walking on stage with five inches heels.

A young lady who tried her luck in many pageants but still doesn’t gained so much respect. In her high school years, Beverlyn Alquiros luckily got a crown. But would it be enough for her experience to compete in ahigh level pageant like Miss Philippines Earth 2011? Well, why not?

Alquiros is determined to own any of the title this year. To make her province (Bulacan) proud of her and of course her family, contrary to this Beverlyn Alquiros doesn’t excel on my eyes and perception, except only with her good height and good skin.

Another beauty from Calabarzon area will try her luck for the crown and title of Miss Philippines Earth 2011. Klaudine Palma’s angelic beauty is her great material. She is a constant candidate. A moderate leveled candidate, not on the frontline neither on the end spot. Only if her stars will trace the right track maybe, she could continue her journey for the crown at the semi-finals. But still we should open to the possibilities. Expect the unexpected.

Miss Philippines Earth 2011

Puerto Princesa will be the host city of this year’s Miss Philippines Earth 2011 Pageant. On June 5, 2011  ABS-CBN and the Filipino Channel will broadcast the pageant live all over the globe.

Miss Philippines Earth 2011, the 11th edition of the encouragement -driven Miss Philippines Earth beauty pageant, this pageant again will be held on June 5, 2011 in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines.

The pageant has aligned itself with the "International Year of the Forests" as it centers this year’s pageant edition with the promotion of forests conservation.

Miss Philippines Earth 2010 Kris Psyche Resus will crown her successor at the end of the event. The Miss Philippines Earth 2011 winner will represent the Philippines in the international Miss Earth 2011 beauty pageant which will be held in Thailand.

Aside from the Miss Philippines Earth 2011 title, four other equal winners will be crowned.
