WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?

I learned how to be independent. It has always been just me and my mom when my father left us since I was a one year old baby, growing up I learned how to be strong for the both of us. I also learned to appreciate all the things around me because as they say, we never know until when it would stay.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?

It was when my mom got into a car accident. It was a very traumatic experience for the whole family because we thought that she won't be able to survive that tragedy. Gladly, all thanks to God, she made it.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY?

We must plant more trees. Let us always be mindful of how we use wood products and paper items.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?

Since I grew up in a middle-class family, I think the most important lesson that I have learned during my childhood years was to be contented and thankful with what I have. I also won't forget what my mother has always been telling me every now and then, "Hindi bale ng tayo ang masaktan, wag lang tayo ang makasakit." I live up to it until now.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?

It was the moment I knew that I did not make it to the Honors List in college. It was very hard for me to accept because I really wanted it badly. I have always dreamt of having my parents come up on stage with me during my graduation day, but unluckily, it didn't happen. It only made me realize that in life, I can't have everything that I want even how much I want it, I just have to believe that better things are coming my way.

"One Man, One Tree". A man who plants tree does not just build a forest, but a planet.

Mestisa beauty from Mindoro, Mary Sheila Rosales is a student and currently enjoys her pageant career as one of the beautiful candidates of Miss Philippines Earth 2011. White Complexion complemented with her artificial red mane, not so stunner. She is one of those who didn’t stand out and catch any attentions.

Mary Sheila Rosales meet my expectations when her smile flashes the camera. I know from the very beginning that even though this girl wouldn’t win, she will have a lot of friends and great experience in the entire pageant.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?

I've learned that even though I am just a little kid and was facing domestic problems, I need to be strong for the life ahead of me not just for myself but also for those who I loved so dearly, my family.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?

It was when my family and I went to Pangasinan for an excursion, I was 8 years old then. I will never ever forget that moment in my life because that was the first and last vacation we had as a family. I felt so happy.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY?

We can help Mother Earth by conserving water. Minimize the use of water by turning off the faucet while brushing our teeth or use a pail instead of shower when taking a bath.

Mardie Rose Enriquez from Calamba City is one of our official candidates in Miss Philippines Earth 2011. Special about her is that Mardie is simple. She stands 5 feet and 6 inches about the ground yet, she let her feet on the ground while having the best foot forward.

She catches my attention, when she ramped seemingly on the way down with their fabulous swimsuit. I got good shots on her. About her standing on the pageant, well she is good but there are a lot more candidates who are better than her. I love her personality towards other candidates. Maybe, other pageants will suit for her.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?

There are a couple of lessons I learned from childhood: To always be quick to change; If you're not good at something, work at it; Don't easily get depressed; You are a victor not a victim.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?

The most memorable moment for me was when I joined a singing contest in our school during my elementary days. There was only one word for it- embarrassing. But then, that was when I realized that if you want to win something you don't just join, you prepare.

 

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY?

My advocacy is "sowing and reaping". It's about educating the Filipino community to be aware of the environmental issues.

Another strong contender; this beauty from Cagayan de Oro packages an awesome and alluring aura. She is not; I mean definitely not a stunner.  But Catherine Almirante do has potentials in pageants. She is not that beautiful, actually I am quite annoyed with her nose. But, her presence on stage, the baring of dress, poses, delivering of self into crowd and camera. Wow, she is a beauty queen. Could this strengths brag her the crown of this year’s Miss Philippines-earth 2011?

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?

It was September 2009 when typhoon Ondoy struck the country. I consider this catastrophe as the most memorable moment in my life because of the great effects that it marked in me. The floods that ravaged our household and endangered our lives greatly, and the morbid images I have seen during the onslaught of the typhoon, are still vivid in my memory. This tragedy however, opened my eyes to our social responsibility to Mother Nature.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY?

I am advocating sustainable fashion or eco-fashion. It is a trend of using environment friendly materials to produce clothing or accessories, to reduce harm to our environment.

Own Thoughts:

She is a strong contender. Christianne Ramos is a beautiful candidate of Miss Philippines Earth 2011 pageant. Fierce looks, awesome mane, and a complete package to be a winner; I am sure that this lady will own any of the titles. Maybe it is water or air, but I am not quite convinced that she will conquer the biggest title. There is a candidate that I do believe suited for Miss Philippines-earth 2011 title. Find out whom.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?

I learned that in order to succeed, one must learn from previous failures. My childhood experiences taught me that pain caused by failures can make one a stronger and better individual.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?

The most memorable moments for me were the competitions I won. Those were remarkable not because of fame or victory, it was because of the smiles from the people who supported me all the way. It has always been my heart's content to inspire people especially the young ones.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY?

Reforestation. Our forests play a serious role in mitigating the consequences of climate change. As an advocate of the environment, I would like to further spread environmental education by coordinating with government agencies and the media.

Alyssa Mae Canizares won Mutya ng Bayugan 2009 and competed Bai Naliyagan 2009 (Miss Naliyagan 2009) where she won. Bai Naliyagan is a pageant in Agusan del Sur for the Naliyagan Festival held every June. This is the edge of this candidate from being one of the official candidate of this year’s 2011 Miss Philippines Earth pageant.
